Paul Spurling is a Melbourne-based writer and professional musician. He has a degree in psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Journalism.
Growing up in suburban Melbourne in the late 1970s and 1980s, Paul represented Victoria in Little Athletics and later played football with Richmond Under 19s before obsessive-compulsive disorder gradually came to dominate his life. Music became both an ambition and a refuge as he eventually found a way to build a life beyond the illness.
Alongside his work as a musician, Paul has worked as a freelance writer and editor, producing newsletters, reports and other publications, including published music writing.
Ways to Fall is his first book.
